My First Beach Clean Of 2016
Combining a sunrise walk and a beach clean always seems like a good idea and Felixstowe sea front in Suffolk is the perfect location to do just that.

As the sun rises on a new year I travel to the other side of Ipswich to capture the first sunrise of 2016. Will it be a good one?
As the sun sets on 2015 I take a walk along an old childhood haunt - Nacton Shores.
I put my new iphone 6 through its paces recording the sunrise and surroundings at the Oak Tree Low Carbon Farm.
After another busy start to the week it was teatime before I managed to tear myself away from the computer. So, after having something to eat do I veg out on the sofa with a cold beer or do I squeeze in a random act of wildness? What do you think?!
Well, it was inevitable. After ten days of immersing myself in wildlife almost 24/7, work and family commitments finally caught up. That hasn't stopped me doing wild things on a daily basis but it does make it a little difficult to find the time to write about it. Luckily I'm getting back on top of the latest mad rush so I thought I'd give you an update on Days 11 to 14 of my '30 Days Wild' challenge.
For Day 10 of 30 Days Wild I wanted to show you how you can be surrounded by your gadgets and still enjoy an evening walk and watch the sunset.
For Day 9 of '30 Days Wild' I found myself feeling rather artistic so decided to create a little bit of wild art during the day and some 'Light Painting' later in the evening.
Day 8 of 30 Days Wild started very early, and when I say early I mean EARLY! And the subjects of my nocturnal activities...hedgehogs and the International Space Station. Now there's a combination you don't see every day!
Day 7 of 30 Days Wild was a scorcher! Having spent the morning taking part in the bioblitz at Holywells Park with Suffolk Wildlife Trust I spent the afternoon with two of my favourite little people - My nephew Ollie and his sister Milly. Our mission? To go on an adventure around the garden to discover bugs!
Today's wild antics were all about bugs. Whether it's in the wide open spaces of a local park or the confines of your garden, there's always something exciting to find. The closer you look the more you see!
Debbie and I have been proud members of the Oak Tree Low Carbon Farm for a couple of years now but, even though we live closer than any other member, we still struggle to spend as much time as we would like there. Luckily we had time to make up a few hours earlier today.
