Having recently been chosen as the Sugru ‘Guru Of The Month’ I finally got around to having a good look at my prize!
For those of you who have been following my blog for a while you’ll know that I’m huge fan of Sugru, a self setting rubber that can be used for a multitude of jobs around the house and lots more besides. If you are not familiar with Sugru then take a look at my review –
I was excited to receive my prize in the post but have only recently taken it out of the packaging.
My prize consisted of five packs of Sugru, a limited edition T-shirt with the slogan ‘If it’s broken, fix it. If its not broken, improve it.‘, and a poster of the ‘Fixers Manifesto’. There was even a pen supplied so I could personalise the manifesto and tweak the wording to best match my approach.
I finally got around to framing the manifesto and it now has pride of place in the Gadget Lab.
I Finally Fixed The Manifesto!
I’ve started using my supply of Sugru all over the house, not just for my wildlife projects. Search for Sugru on my site and you’ll find a lot of the projects. The latest ‘How To Guide’ to use Sugru was added last month – Make A Low Cost Wildlife Camera Clamp.
The Clamp In Action
Believe it or not one of the most useful little projects I’ve created using Sugru is probably the simplest. I picked up a large plate stand for £1 from the local discount store, added some strategically placed Sugru and voila! A handy iPad stand perfect for use on my bedside cabinet!
