'30 Days Wild' Day 4 started early and when I say early I mean early!
The plan for the day - Listen to the dawn chorus and watch the sunrise at RSPB Minsmere, followed by a radio interview on BBC Radio Suffolk inside the Springwatch village.
My plan - to walk my usual route along part of the Fynn valley. I've walked the route hundreds of times in all seasons and all weather, but today I planned to do something a little different. Today was going to be all about textures and touch.
Today saw the start of a fantastic new challenge campaign from the Wildlife Trusts called '30 Days Wild'. The idea is simple - try to do something wild every day throughout the month of June. It might be easier than you think and could make you a little wilder for the rest of your life! Are you up for the challenge?!
This morning saw the first clear skies of the new year so I grabbed my camera gear, pulled on my wooly hat and set off for a rendezvous with a sunrise. The first sunrise of my #100sunrises of 2015 challenge.
2014 was an extremely busy year for Wildlife Gadget Man but I tried to get up early and out in the fresh air as often as possible. Let me tell you, those early mornings were well worth it as I witnessed some truly stunning scenes and had some amazing wildlife encounters.
I woke up this morning, looked out of the bedroom window and saw that it was another crisp, clear and frosty morning. I couldn’t resist getting up early for the last time in 2014, going for a walk and watching the sunrise.
